A workshop to discover the art behind the scenes
The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía opens its doors on 13 September 2026 to CaracterizaT, a family workshop designed to reveal the secrets of characterisation in opera. Through two sessions—at 12:30 PM and 5:30 PM—participants will get an up-close look at how singers transform into characters using makeup techniques, wigs, prosthetics, and other theatrical resources.
The activity is designed for audiences, especially families, to understand the creative process behind each performance. It’s not just about observing but learning how these technical elements bring characters to life on stage.
