B-Movie: Historic synth-pop in Valencia
On 19 September 2026, the venue 16 Toneladas will host B-Movie, the British band that defined the sound of synth-pop and new wave in the 1980s. With their tour «Remembrance Days 45 Tour», they celebrate four and a half decades of career, performing live classics like «Nowhere Girl», «The Big Picture» and «Remembrance Days», alongside lesser-known tracks from their only studio album, «Forever Running» (1980).
A legacy between underground and influence
Formed in Mansfield (England) in 1979, B-Movie stood out for blending analogue synthesizers, post-punk guitars and melancholic lyrics, creating a style that influenced later bands like Depeche Mode or The Human League. Though their career was short—they split in 1985 and only reunited sporadically—their music has stood the test of time, becoming a cult favourite among synth-pop lovers.
For this concert, the line-up will feature Stephen Papke (vocals and guitar), Simon O’Keefe (bass, original member), Mike Slocombe (drums) and Dave Price (guitar), promising a live performance true to the spirit of their recordings, with a minimalist and atmospheric stage setup.
