Concert by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana with Anja Bihlmaier
On 13 September 2026 at 20:00, the Auditori of Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía will host a symphonic concert conducted by German conductor Anja Bihlmaier, featuring the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (OCV). This event is part of Les Arts’ Open Day, offering reduced-price tickets to bring classical music closer to the public.
Concert Programme
The repertoire includes two key works from the Romantic period:
- Quadres d’una exposició (Pictures at an Exhibition), by Modest Mussorgsky in the orchestration by Maurice Ravel. Originally composed for piano in 1874, Ravel’s 1922 adaptation added a rich orchestral palette.
- Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1888. The symphony explores themes of fate and hope, with a recurring motif in the first movement and a triumphant finale.
The estimated duration of the concert is approximately 90 minutes, without an interval.
Tickets and Access
Tickets, priced from €5, went on sale on 28 July 2026 and are sold out according to official sources. This concert has no age restrictions, making it suitable for all audiences.
