On 27 September 2026, the Catalan duo Alosa will present their debut album, El primer cant del matí, at La Rambleta. Formed by Giulietta Vidal (vocals and percussion) and Irene Romo (vocals, cello, and percussion), the project stands out for its musical proposal that bridges tradition and innovation, establishing itself as one of the most distinctive voices in the new Catalan folk scene.
An album between tradition and modernity
El primer cant del matí features nine songs that combine original compositions with adaptations from the popular songbook. Among the highlights are:
- "Las alamedas": a collaboration with Tarta Relena based on a text by Federico García Lorca.
- "El riu": which incorporates the poem "L’ametller" by Joan Maragall.
- Versions of traditional songs such as "La dama d’Aragó", "El cant dels ocells", and "Marieta cistellera".
Produced by Arnau Figueres, the album follows the success of their singles "El forner", "Nenes de ciutat", and "Flors i violes", reinforcing the trajectory of a duo that has filled venues like the Auditori de Barcelona and the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa. Their live performances, marked by rich vocals, cello, and traditional percussion, offer an intimate and nuanced experience.

The concert at La Rambleta is part of the album’s promotional tour. The event will take place in the Club Rambleta at 13:00, with tickets available from €10 plus booking fees. La Rambleta’s Ram Session format aims to bring emerging musical proposals to the public in an intimate setting.
