Alkalsaat: formation and repertoire
Alkalsaat is a Palestinian jazz-fusion trio made up of Shaden Nahra (violin and production), Michel Totry (guitar and production), and Naser Raed (drums and production). Their self-titled debut album, recorded live in the studio with co-producer Raymond Haddad, features eight tracks that combine influences from jazz, funk, and Arabic music. The album reflects years of collaboration among the three musicians, with compositions based on improvisation and infectious rhythms.
The group has toured the region, with sold-out shows on several dates, and their music has been featured on European radio stations. In Valencia, they will perform at Burning House, a venue with a limited capacity of 60 people.
