Jazz inspired by colour
The Abe Rábade Trío —featuring Abe Rábade (piano), Pablo Martín Caminero (double bass), and Bruno Pedroso (drums)— arrives at Matisse Club on 4 October 2026 to present their latest work, Tempo de cor. Released in 2024, this album explores the relationship between music and the psychology of colour through seven original compositions, each linked to a hue: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white. The project aims to create a synaesthetic experience, where sound evokes mental images.
Active since 2008, the trio has released six albums in this formation, including Doravante (2018), premiered at the Monterey Jazz Festival (USA), and Sorte (2020). Their repertoire spans original works and covers, such as those in Versons (2013). They have performed on international stages, from Santiago de Chile to Berlin, including cities like Havana, Lisbon, and Tangier.
