A unique festival on the national performing arts scene
The Mostra Internacional de Mim de Sueca (MIM) celebrates its 36th edition as one of Spain’s most prominent festivals in physical theatre, mime and body movement. The 2026 edition, held on 18 and 19 September, stays true to its essence: a balance between performances for adults and children, shows in theatres and on the street, and disciplines ranging from circus to dance, always with the body as the central focus.
2026 Programme: four performances over two days of performing arts
The festival spans two intense days, with performances starting at 7:30 PM and running into the night. Here are some of the confirmed acts:
- Qabalum: with their show Todo este ruido at the Molí del Pasiego, a bold take on physical theatre and gesture.
- L’últim toc: a piece by MIM Sueca Nostàlgia reviving traditional mime, performed at CEIP Carrasquer.
- Pere Hosta: presents Woof at 8:15 PM, a work exploring the relationship between movement and sound.
- FOREVER: the company closes each night with two performances at 10:30 PM, a show that pushes the boundaries of physical expression.
All activities take place in central locations in Sueca, such as the Centre Bernat i Baldovi (C/ Sant Josep, 32), though some performances will be held outdoors at venues like the Molí del Pasiego or CEIP Carrasquer.
A cultural and social phenomenon
The MIM is more than just a festival—it’s an event that transforms Sueca for two days. The mix of large-scale productions and intimate performances, alongside the participation of international and local artists, makes it a must-see for performing arts lovers. Its inclusive approach—with shows for all ages—reinforces its family-friendly and community-driven character.
